Key Qualifications & Certifications: Current RN license with at least 1 year ICU experience BLS and ACLS certifications required Ability and willingness to titrate drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin Strong dysrhythmia knowledge; must pass dysrhythmia exam (minimum 80% within two attempts prior to contract signing) Experience with geriatric, post-MI, post-CABG, post-cardiac cath, and ortho patients Comfort interpreting cardiac telemetry strips independently Responsibilities & Duties: Provide bedside care in ICU, MedSurg Tele, and PCU units, including managing advanced cardiac patients and post-procedural cases Administer and titrate complex drips according to protocol Collaborate with monitor techs and utilize nurse aides effectively Flexibly adapt to float pool assignments communicated via text approximately 2 hours before shifts, covering both campuses about 20-25 minutes apart Maintain professional dress code transitioning to navy scrubs in line with hospital guidelines Additional Role Details: 12-hour shifts, predominantly 7am-7pm, with night shifts available; schedules released 6 weeks in advance Weekend rotation every other weekend; holiday rotations included with permanent staff Standby/on-call requirements for shifts with excess staff Orientation includes general hospital and unit-specific training (8 & 12-hour shifts) This contract position does not permit applicants who have worked full-time, part-time, or PRN within the last year for any related facilities within the assigned radius.
